ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability, is the world’s largest  international organization of local government sustainable development. We aim on promoting the cities and local governments to reach the goals of sustainable development.

ICLEI believes that in order to achieve sustainable development from the local to the global level, local initiatives are a more effective and cost-effective way. So as to support members to implement sustainable development at the local level, ICLEI provides technical consultation, education and training and information services for local government members on implementing sustainable development through regional and national offices set up around the world. And cooperate with global partner organizations (including the United Nations Environment Programme, UN-Habitat, WWF, etc.) to develop planning projects to respond to sustainable development issues of international concern and assist local governments to be in line with international practice in reach the requirements and goals on international agreements, protocols and treaties.
