Resilient Cities
As the growing risk of climate change, the ways to reduce vulnerability and build resilience in cities, where the concentration of populations and industries, become an important issue. Resilience is a vital element while moving towards sustainable development and to a sustainable city. It makes a city well prepared to respond and able to recover from any shock or stress. At the same time, maintain its essential functions, structures and characters. Moreover, adapting, improving and thriving under continual changes.
To implement this initiative efficiently, ICLEI holds the international and Asia-Pacific region focused forums that gather experts, international organizations and private sectors. These become a convening space for worldwide attendees to exchange knowledge, good practices, case studies, solutions, experience and policies. ICLEI also publish reports after the forum, which can see as a reference for decision-maker or practitioner.
